Alan Rawlinson may well be our most senior Old Boy, having started at the LNS. He has supplied a huge store of memorabilia and two personal and invaluable accounts of life in that amazing period of transition from LNS to WHS - for which many thanks.

A brief autobiography:

"After LNS Woolverstone, I went on to have a successful career in shipping management. A Master's (F.G.) Certificate was obtained, and later a B.Sc in Maritime Studies. Senior management jobs followed which took me all over the world (again) and I enjoyed time in Dubai, Nigeria, Hong-Kong, Singapore and many other places. A particular success was the placing of offshore accommodation barges for the troops in Port Stanley. A later spell as Marketing Director for Felixstowe Port had me looking up the River Orwell towards Woolverstone Hall, before eventually retiring to Cornwall."
