Chris Snuggs: "Ms Chaplin played a pivotal role in the very creation of WHS and was throughout its lifetime probably our most steadfast and fervent defender. She often attended and indeed chaired Speech Days and other ceremonies, though many boys may not have realized at the time how important she was to their school. She had a long and active political life working for the common good, and passed away in the very year that WHS finally closed. A much fuller profile can be read at the LINK above."
