On Saturday 17th August 2024 a short Memorial Service in tribute to Rosa Weekes took place at Woolverstone Hall just behind the Old Pavilion. I.W.S. members and W.H.S. Old Boy Louis Parperis gave short speeches and a memorial tree was inaugurated - fittingly very close to that of Derek Thornbery with whom she worked for many years in Orwell House.
