Woolverstone Cadets at Deben Week Waldringfield July 1962 - (Pete Brown, July 2003) This is me, complete with kapok lifejacket, looking somewhat coyly over my shoulder after sailing C1642, which I think we all thought was the fastest of the School Cadets. I can't remember who else is in the photo. Stretch Poole took a party of sailors to Deben Week.The local competition was very good and included some boys who went on to become European Champions in the 505 Class etc. We all camped in a field near the sailing Club and enjoyed a great week of sailing, socialising and boozing at the Maybush.
