Fay Presto with her magic helped to make this a very special day. I'm not even sure if she managed to get any lunch as all the time the rest of us were eating she was going round the tables doing a variety of amazing tricks, all accompanied by her cheerful banter and punctuated by the laughs of the various guests.

The tricks and laughs carried on all day until the end of the evening session at The Butt & Oyster .... newspapers got torn up and mysteriously put together again; packs of cards got flung at the ceiling and stuck there by magic .... bottles got pushed through solid wooden tables, numerous things disappeared and some of them reappeared again .......
