David Waight - Corners 65-72
Dave was one of the three finest cricketers to play for WHS. Graham Barlow played for Kent and England, but left at the end of the second form. The only other comparable talent in terms of achievement was Brian Workman. Dave started playing for the 1st XI in his FOURTH year and was particularly dominant in all of the last three years he played. His exceptional double achievement was his 9 for 36 against the Old Boys in 1972 and his two centuries, but his overall record speaks for itself. He was Captain of Cricket in 1972, and an equally devastating fly-half for the WHS 1st XV.
