Letter to the Girls School

Dear Ms Dibbin

I am the Treasurer of the Woolverstone Hall Old Boys' Association and was asked by Chris Snuggs to send a floral gift to the School as a 'thank you' for allowing us the wander in the grounds last month. It might seem an insignificant event but for the Old Boys it is always an enjoyable and nostalgic occasion. I hope the flowers arrived safely.

I still remember the first time I visited Woolverstone Hall in the summer of 1950. From a war-scarred London I felt that I had been transported to a foreign land. The beauty of the place is retained to this day.

During our wanderings the subject of the WHOBA Rose Bowl was raised. We presented the Rose Bowl to IHS in 1997 and it was presented that year to the girl that had contributed most to Extra Curricular Activities. I know it was presented every year up to 2004 as we used to receive an invitation to attend Prize Day and I attended in 2004. Since then we have not heard anything of it. Is the Rose Bowl still presented each year?

Again our sincere thanks and best wishes.
