Jonny Potter: “He was very tough and disciplined which didn’t sit too well with a lot of people me included, but later in life I realised discipline is lacking in our schools and I wish my kids had a bit more of Mr Suffling’s way of teaching."

Mark Hamill: “What a top man - proper schoolteacher who remained a friend. This man must have helped so many kids to fall in love with sport when they were at school. Thinking of his wife and family and everyone who knew him. RIP Mr Suffling.”
