This beautiful park holds special memories for me. I had my first ever date with a demoiselle there sometime in 1963. We walked about for a bit, sat on a bench, talked ....then went to her house and talked some more: rather too much talking and not enough action as I recall!

I'm sure that mine was not the only WHS-IHS tryst to take place there over the years ... the park is a beautiful asset for the town.
