CURRENT EVENTS 2025

Jan. 2025: Earlier this week, nine Year 11 and two Year 12 pupils took part in an interactive Musculoskeletal & Sports Health workshop. The workshop covered areas such as assessment and screening, rehab, taping, and various other treatments. There were lots of opportunities to ask questions and learn from the experts at Sportsmedeast. A big thank you to everyone involved in providing this enriching experience for our pupils.

21 Jan. 2025: Sixth Formers Adam and Sunny started a food bank initiative over the Christmas period and they generously donated an impressive 5 boxes of non-perishable items to the FIND food bank in Ipswich. Well done to everyone involved and in Adam's words: "We made someone else’s Christmas a little bit easier".

January 13: Last week, we were treated like royalty at lunch where we were served the delicious "La Galette des Rois" (King's Pie). This is a cake associated in many countries with Epiphany, the celebration of the Twelfth Night after Christmas. The tradition in France involves hiding a bean or small figure in some of the slices, and whoever finds the bean gets to be King or Queen for the day. The bean can be swapped for a crown, as demonstrated by some of our winners. Earlier in the week, Prep enjoyed learning about this tradition and made crowns in class. Thank you as always to our fantastic catering team for making the lunch extra special and for honouring this most noble of French traditions.
